Beesential Review
With spring in full bloom, I love finding products that are natural, and good for the environment as well as our bodies. I have been working with Beesential for a few years now, so when I had the opportunity to receive another review package from them, I jumped on it.
About Beesential:
About twenty years ago I agreed to let a co worker put a beehive on my family farm. I didn’t plan to be responsible for it, but when life events kept him from rending to it, I became I beekeeper. I found bee science and culture fascinating, and I soon began researching bees and attending workshops at the Ohio State University Agricultural Campus. Beyond enjoying the science, I found that tending the bees gave me time to reflect. It became a cathartic activity. I also cam to realize how connected the bees’ world is to ours – any changes in our environment affect their environment as well. I began to think about the foods we eat, the chemicals we use, and the impact these factors have on bees and on us. That’s when the idea hit me: I wanted to make natural skin care and hair products using honey, beeswax, propolis, and other ingredients that are good for us and our world. This is the philosophy behind Beesential. Today my family and I produce a full line of natural products – lip balms, soap, shampoo, condition, body wash, foaming soaps, deodorants and creams – that help our customers keep their skin and hair healthy the natural way.
The Review:
As you can see by the bio, they have so many different products. I have been very fortunate to try a nice variety of them over the years, and I have not been disappointed by any of them. I love that they are all natural, which takes the guess work out of buying their products. No dyes, no chemicals, no added scents you have worry about allergies from. Just purse, clean beauty.
One of my all-time favorite products from them is their foaming hand soaps. They have several different scents of these, but the one that I have to name as my favorite is the Sweet Orange with Aloe & Honey. From the moment you pump it into your hand, you can feel the difference between this soap and your run of the mill everyday soap. It is foamy and luxurious and washes off your hands clean. The natural orange scent is one of the more pleasant scents I have smelled, and far more superior and better for you than any of the other orange scents out there.
Another one of my favorite products from Beesential is their lip balms. Made with beeswax, these balms both smell good and are nourishing for your lips. With scents that range from Honey to Orange and Ginger and everything in between, I have to say the Lime Coconut is currently my favorite lip balm.
In a world that is so focused on finding good bang for their buck, sometimes we tend to overlook quality, and go for quantity instead. With Beesential, they do offer gallon size products as well, so you are able to purchase your favorites in bigger sizes as well, so you don’t have to keep buying the small containers over and over again, therefore helping remove your carbon footprint a little more.
